Eto'o a marqué un magnifique but à Londres pour une victoire Interiste 1 à 0. Avec la victoire à Milan 2 à 1, Inter gagne 3 à 1 sur les 2 matchs. José Mourinho a pris sa revanche sur ses anciens patrons. Ce n'est pas cette année que Drogba sera champion européen. C'est aussi une revanche de Samuel Eto'o (champion espagnol et européen 2009 avec Barcelone) qui a perdu le ballon d'or africain face à Didier Drogba (qui pourtant n'avait rien gagné en 2009). L'Inter reste dans la course sur les deux tableaus: Scudetto et Champions League.
2. Le Real Madrid avec ces nouveaux joueurs à 250 millions d'euros (Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema) a été éliminé par l'Olympique Lyonnais. L'objectif affiché du Real était pourtant la
finale à domicile. C'est un échec cuisant!
3. Une autre surprise de moindre envergure est la défaite à domicile de FC Seville, après avoir fait match nul à Moscou. Le CSKA Moscou passe en quart de finale et 2 clubs espagnols passent à la trappe.
Les quarts de finale seront très ouverts !
